Compensation: $27.99–$30.76/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (35 hours/week, no weekend rotation)

Position Summary
Provides respiratory care-related procedures to adult and geriatric residents. Responsibilities include assessing residents’ conditions, administering prescribed therapies, and recording responses to treatments. The therapist collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care, facilitates discharge planning, and provides education to residents.
Responsibilities
- Life Support Systems:
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain life support systems
- Perform airway care, maintenance, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures.
- Resident Assessments and Therapy:
- Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments using history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement therapy plans based on physician orders, including medication administration and therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor and document resident progress, modifying treatments as necessary.
- Education and Training:
- Provide in-service training to residents, families, and facility staff.
- Educate on therapy techniques, breathing exercises, and equipment use.
- Equipment Management:
- Inspect, clean, and maintain respiratory equipment.
- Record and maintain logs for oxygen and respiratory supplies.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan and evaluate resident care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all therapies, adverse reactions
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to policies, and legal requirements/HIPAA/Federal False Claims Act.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Completion of an NBRC-approved and accredited program in respiratory therapy.
- Minimum of one year of clinical practice experience under medical direction.
- Current State Licensure for a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties.
