Physical Therapist for Home Health – PG County, MD

We are seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join a well-established small homecare company in a close-knit,
family-oriented work environment. They will be working with post op- patients in their homes to help with
recovery. They will consult with patients to learn about their current conditions and access and evaluate their
mobility to develop proper treatment plans. Candidate will also be creating a personalized fitness-orientated
healthcare programs and administering physical therapy treatments to relive pain and improve patients’ mobility.
In most cases a PTA will execute your plan.
Work Schedule: M-F, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with 25-30 field visits per week. Most PTs are done by 3 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Physical Therapy Assessments and Skilled Treatments.
- Coordinate client care, providing teaching, supervision, and counseling to clients and caregivers.
- Document interdisciplinary communication and supervise ancillary staff.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment.
- Develop time management skills and create personalized fitness-oriented care programs.
- Document client care and submit notes on the same day as the visit.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and Maryland license required.
- Valid driver’s license, fully insured, and reliable vehicle.
- Proficient use of computers and software.
- Intensive education and clinical expertise.
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- CPR Certified.
