Compensation: Up to $63/hour (per unit rate)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (30 hours/week, no weekend rotation)
Setting: Mobile Outpatient Therapy
Reports To: Director of Rehab
Position Summary
Provide mobile outpatient rehabilitation services for the older adult population. This includes delivering therapy directly to patients in their homes, enabling care in the most functional and personalized environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required.
- Adhere to treatment schedules, documentation standards, and departmental requirements.
- Attend and contribute to patient care and team meetings.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation teams and community physicians.
- Develop individualized therapy plans addressing areas such as:
- Cognitive skills, adaptive devices, orthotics, and prosthetics
- Muscle strength and coordination, endurance, and mobility
- Balance, sensory awareness, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Fall risk management and medication management
- Instruct and train patients in functional activities and use of adaptive devices.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reevaluating and updating treatment plans.
- Provide case management and community integration support for patients.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts or proof of eligibility.
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience (new graduates not eligible).
- Must possess a driver’s license or reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
