Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: Parmer Woods at North Austin, Austin, TX
Compensation: $44.15–$47.06/hour
Placement Fee: 10% of the total annual salary
Schedule: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekend rotation
Facility Overview: An Assisted Living/Memory Care (AL/MC) community with a total capacity of 132 residents. Currently, the census is 80 residents, with 3–4 new move-ins expected before the end of the year. The facility boasts a full leadership staff and a supportive environment under the Director of Rehabilitation, who has been with the facility for nearly three years. As the preferred therapy provider, therapists enjoy a consistent caseload with very low home health or hospice census.
Position Summary: The Physical Therapist will provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. This may include therapy in a patient’s private residence, assisted living, or memory care facility. The Physical Therapist designs individualized therapy programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance mobility and functionality, promoting independence and quality of life. The role also involves educating and training patients and caregivers, adapting therapy plans to meet unique patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as required.
- Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based techniques such as:
- Therapeutic exercises (aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility)
- Functional training
- Manual therapy
- Airway clearance techniques
- Integumentary repair and protection
- Electrotherapeutic modalities
- Develop and implement falls prevention and chronic disease management plans.
- Conduct routine reexaminations to modify treatment plans as needed.
- Incorporate health and wellness programming into patient care plans.
- Perform home and community mobility assessments and provide recommendations for safe mobility.
- Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with department standards.

Requirements:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Texas or proof of eligibility.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent evaluated degree for foreign graduates).
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible PT experience (if Bachelor’s degree is the highest credential).
- Valid driver’s license or reliable, independent transportation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
